Thriving Eco City-regions
Supporting city-regions transition towards becoming more inclusive, ecologically resilient and economically productive.
The Thriving Eco City-Regions initiative aims to focus on informing policies, plans and projects and lend strategic steering to nudge city-regions towards transformative change and co-create regenerative growth pathways.
In this effort, we are committed to partnering with government officials and decisionmakers, sectoral experts, local stakeholders, communities and civil society. Through the ECR initiative, we are providing technical support to our partner geographies through empirically driven research insights and spatial analysis; building multi-stakeholder forums for peer learning and collaborative action, strengthening local capacity and capability, and empowering local stakeholders to be change makers.
Our Focus
Develop empirically driven spatial and statistical analysis

Create multi-stakeholder forums for collaboration
Creating multi-stakeholder forums fosters collaboration across governments, civil society, and experts. The Eco City-Regions Forum enables peer learning, policy dialogue, and solution-driven discussions.
Strengthen local capacity and capabilities
Building local capacity and expertise is essential for sustainable urban development. Through our immersive workshops and hands on trainings, officials and local stakeholders can gain technical skills, practical insights and exposure to national and international best practices across sectors.
Communicate stories of local practices, places and people
Effective storytelling bridges the gap between data and action. Through blogs, digital content, and visual narratives, we translate complex environmental challenges into accessible insights. By weaving expert analysis with creative storytelling, we inform policies, spark dialogue, and inspire meaningful change across diverse audiences.
