Tanya is the Senior Program Associate-PMEL, Urban Development in the Sustainable Cities and Transportation team. Here she oversees the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Eco City-regions project, capturing impact and the progress of the project towards transformation of urban policies and governance for the selected city regions to become Eco City-regions.

Tanya joins WRI India with a background in Planning. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning in the Education sector. Tanya has previously held program management and MEL positions with Peepul, Educate Girls and Pratham Education Foundation, NGOs working with government departments to promote quality education for school going children. She has also served as a teaching fellow at Teach for India, where she taught high school children from underserved communities at a government school, for 2 years.

Tanya holds a bachelor’s in commerce from Maitreyi College, University of Delhi. She enjoys travelling and reading about behavioral science.
