Umer Fayaz is an Associate with the Communications department at WRI India. Here his work primarily focuses on internal communications, social media and editorial.

Umer comes to WRI India with experience in communications, branding, and editorial from previous roles at the Indian School of Business and Finance, Leverage Edu, and Swaniti Initiative.

He holds a bachelor’s in Mass Communication and Multimedia Production and a postgraduate degree in Convergent Journalism from Central University of Kashmir with a specialization in narrative non-fiction.

In addition to his keen interest in communications and peace and conflict studies, Umer enjoys reading classics and historical fiction.
