Suhani Gupta is a Program Associate - Transport with the sustainable cities and transport program at WRI India. Her work focuses on Early Childhood Development in Indian cities, within the verticals of mobility, ambient environment, open public spaces and ECD services. She supports the team in building knowledge towards establishing greater synergies between the community and their ecosystem and help cities implement responsive and sustainable solutions while working with different stakeholders.

Suhani is focused to work towards scripting inclusive urban futures with a passion for environmental sensitivity and resilience building at the nexus of equity, local participation and behavioral change. Prior to WRI India, Suhani has worked with various think tanks and research organizations in Delhi, Udaipur and Milan (Italy), where she has contributed within the domains of WASH and Climate Change adaptation via co-creating solutions, SBCC and knowledge dissemination.

Suhani is an Architect and Urban Planner by training and holds a Master’s in urban and regional planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and Politecnico Di Milano, Italy, where she was awarded the Best Capstone Project, 2018 for her thesis on "Climate Change Adaptation Processes: assessing the effectiveness of climate change awareness tools and methods, facilitating local participation into the process".

When not working, Suhani can be found near plants and sunshine, indulging in literary fiction. Exploring new landscapes, cultures and food is also something that excites her.
