Senior Program Associate - Urban Innovations

Shaurya Mall is a Senior Program Associate - Urban Innovations at WRI India, focusing on advancing sustainable urban solutions through partnerships with entrepreneurs, governments and investors. She supports the secretariat activities for the India Forum for Nature-based Solutions and contributes to initiatives promoting equitable and innovative urban development.
Prior to joining WRI India, Shaurya was a Program Fellow with the National Urban Digital Mission Fellowship Program, Government of India. In this role, she led mission implementation in Gujarat and Rajasthan, conducted diagnostic assessments, coordinated with stakeholders across government departments and facilitated state-level Memorandums of Understanding.
Shaurya holds a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Planning degree from CEPT University. In her free time, she enjoys taking up upcycling projects in her home and has a keen interest in public transit systems, believing that exploring a new city via subway, bus, or ferry is the best way to experience it.
