Sandra Kamar
Senior Program Associate - Electric Mobility

Sandra Kamar is a Senior Program Associate with the Electric Mobility team in the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Her role involves conducting research and analysis focused on the electrification of bus fleets in public transport organisations. Additionally, she has contributed to projects aimed at increasing ridership in metros, electrifying private bus-based transport, improving gender equality and social inclusion in the transport sector, among others.
Prior to joining WRI, Sandra carried out her M.Tech dissertation at KSCSTE - National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (NATPAC) where she also worked as an intern. She researched on public transport passenger attraction using policy interventions for a post-covid scenario, within the framework of the major project “Enhancement of Public Transport in Thiruvananthapuram city”.
Sandra holds a Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and Management from REVA University, Bengaluru and Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Albertian Institute of Science and Technology, Kochi.
In her free time, Sandra enjoys reading and painting. She is also training in Kathak and has a passion for public speaking.
