Rajit Bhat is a Program Associate in Transport with WRI India’s Sustainable Cities and Transport program. He focuses on research and projects related to public transport, digital public goods, e-bus planning, electric mobility, and transport data analytics.

Rajit has three years of experience in the transport planning field. Before joining WRI India full-time, he worked as an independent consultant. He holds a Master’s in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation from the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), The Netherlands, with a specialization in Geo-informatics, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.

In his leisure time, Rajit enjoys trekking, drumming, learning new musical instruments, cycling, playing tennis and cricket, and philately.
