Purva Sharma is a Manager in the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. She oversees research activities related to integrated urban planning in cities.

Purva has ten years of expertise as a researcher in the field of urban development. Her areas of expertise include urban policy, governance, and infrastructure evaluation. She is deeply committed to putting ideas into action in order to achieve India's Sustainable Development Goals. She had worked with the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Program, IL&FS, GIZ, and NIUA.

Purva holds an M.A. in Geography from Delhi School of Economics and has completed a Master's in Regional Planning from SPA-New Delhi. She also holds a Ph.D. in Geography and Planning from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, USA.

Purva likes travelling and enjoys learning about different customs and traditions.
