Preeti Kumari is the Program Associate with WRI India in the Energy Program. Her work focuses on increasing access to clean energy intervention for livelihoods through research and implementation.

Preeti is an experienced development professional who brings over 5 years of work experience in the Decentralized Renewable Energy sector. In her past roles, she has worked with clean energy startups and has been involved in site selection, project planning, fundraising, business development, and market linkage identification for the deployment of solar-powered energy services for households, SMEs, and in the agriculture and allied sectors. Her work has also appeared in Energy Review India, India Global Business, Saur Energy, yourvcca.org, India Incorporated, and Renewable Energy Transition in Asia: Policies, Markets, and Emerging Issues (Springer), among other publications.

Preeti holds a master's in Ecology & Environment Studies from Nalanda University, India.

In her leisure time, Preeti enjoys doing Maithili painting and gardening.
