Praseeda Mukundan is a Senior Program Research Associate – Urban Development with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Based out of the Bengaluru office, she is currently involved in the preparation of the Climate Action Plan for Bengaluru.

Praseeda comes with a diverse experience of working in the urban domain in areas such a research and publication, technical advisory to governments and development co-operations, project implementation, and rural development. Prior to joining WRI India, she worked with the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), Kochi. There, she was responsible for the Urban Studies vertical, leading research activities and consultancy projects in various urban sectors such as mobility, governance, spatial development, and housing. Praseeda has also worked with IPE Global Limited for the Thiruvananthapuram Smart City Project and for the RURBAN Mission under the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

She holds a master’s in Planning with specialization in Urban and Regional Planning and a bachelor’s in Architecture, both from the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal.

Praseeda likes to spend her free time doodling and experimenting painting on different surfaces. She is a great fan of Indian performing art forms especially Carnatic music and classical dance forms.
