Pooja Yadav
Program Associate - Climate, Economics and Finance

Pooja Yadav is a Program Associate with the Climate, Economics, and Finance program at WRI India. Her work focuses on climate mitigation across sectors. As part of the RISE Initiative, she supports decarbonization of the textile sector, promotes inclusive skilling programs, and contributes to tools for mitigation planning. She will also be involved in projects aimed at decarbonizing the construction sector, drawing on her background in architecture.
Pooja has worked across private and non-government sectors. She has experience in policy research, spatial planning, and GIS mapping, and has also worked with an NGO in Surat on urban challenges through capacity-building and skill development programs.
She holds a master's in Environmental Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, and a bachelor's in Architecture. She is an IGBC Accredited Professional with a strong interest in sustainable development and climate solutions.
Outside of work, Pooja is an avid reader and sports enthusiast, with a love for badminton and running. She is also actively engaged in community-led environmental initiatives.
