Piyush Tripathi

Piyush Tripathi serves as the Manager of Communications within the Climate Program at WRI India, contributing to strategic communication support and engagement activities. His role encompasses editorial and review responsibilities for opinion pieces and blogs, crafting social media content, and overseeing the program's outreach initiatives.
Prior to joining WRI India, Piyush accumulated over 14 years of journalism experience in India. As Chief of Bureau at The Times of India, he led and managed a team covering diverse stories. Previously, as Principal Correspondent at The Telegraph, he reported on a wide range of topics, including environmental issues, urban development, meteorology, agriculture, energy, politics, government affairs, aviation, and civic concerns.
Piyush has completed MA in Mass Communication from Nalanda Open University along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of Pune. Furthermore, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Foreign Trade from the Department of Economics at the University of Pune and completed his undergraduate studies in commerce at the same university.
In his free time, Piyush enjoys reading and writing for personal development, honing his editorial skills. He also enjoys listening to music.
