Pavithra is a Program Associate with Geo Analytics team under Sustainable Cities and Transport Program at WRI India. She works on Mumbai city storm water drains and flood analysis using various modeling software packages.

She comes to WRI with an expertise in water resources management and a background in Civil Engineering. She previously worked in an industrial water management project for IIT Madras Research Park and has experience in teaching as well.

Pavithra holds a Master's in Engineering in Integrated Water Resources Management, from College of Engineering and a bachelor's degree Civil Engineering, both from Anna University. In Master’s she was selected as a fellow student for SAWA fellowship program funded by International Development Research Centre IDRC through Saci-WATERS. She now resides in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Her hobbies are traveling & gardening. She enjoys playing throw-ball and loves to explore cities.
