Program Manager - Restoration Planning and Implementation
Paresh Parab, as a Program Manager within the Restoration Planning and Implementation team of the Food, Land, and Water program at WRI India, has been driving impactful initiatives since June 2023. Based in Mumbai, he spearheads WRI-led efforts focused on forest and landscape restoration.
Paresh’s professional journey began as a manager in the farm planning and development sector. Over time, he transitioned to the field of agricultural education, serving as the Principal of an Agricultural Polytechnic and later as Vice-Principal and Associate Professor at the College of Agriculture. His engagement with the State Rural Livelihoods Mission (SRLMs) in Maharashtra and Karnataka, particularly through the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), allowed him to champion eco-friendly cropping practices for the Organic Certification of crops in both states.
Paresh holds a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture, specializing in Plant Pathology, earned from Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (DBSKKV) in Dapoli, Maharashtra.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Paresh is a stage performer. His personal interests include trekking, camping, and nurturing his agricultural inclinations by spending quality time on his farm.
