Senior Program Associate - Transport
Ojas is a Senior Program Associate - Transport with the New Sustainable Mobility practice at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. Based out of Mumbai, he works on mapping disruptive innovations in the passenger transport space, open data policy and practice, motor vehicle regulations, and on assessing the impact of shared mobility services on cities.
Ojas previously worked in corporate social responsibility consulting, evaluating the impact of poverty alleviation and livelihood programs across the central Indian tribal belt. Prior to that, he worked with Hyderabad Urban Lab, where he led research and outreach projects on paratransit, housing rights, and occupational trajectories and aspirations of low-income youth in Hyderabad. Through his research, Ojas engages in planning, policy and political economies of urban systems, which are his key areas of interest.
Ojas holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from University of Hyderabad, and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
