Nikhil Kumar is Program Associate - Transport in the Sustainable Cities and Transport team at WRI India, where he works on project related to road safety like Safer Commute for Youth in Rohtak and Vision Zero. He also assists the team in workplan management and delivery of project activities.

Prior to joining WRI, Nikhil worked as Project Manager in Haryana Vision Zero program where he was responsible for project management, liaison with the state government for project implementation, managing and supervising the team, data management and data analysis. He has also worked as an Urban Planner at IBI Group where he was involved in infrastructural development project and beach front rejuvenation project in Odisha.

Nikhil holds a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from SRM University, Chennai. He holds a master’s in planning with specialization in Urban planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. His thesis was on the Impact of Transit Oriented Development on traffic demand and physical infrastructure.
