Meenakshi Kakar is a Program Manager with the Food, Land, and Water team at WRI India in New Delhi. As a member of the core program management team, her primary responsibilities include providing administrative and logistical support to the program and team. A significant part of her role involves supporting the program with internal operations and day-to-day management tasks, including organizing events and workshops.

With over 28 years of work experience, Meenakshi previously worked in the development sector with InsPIRE Network for Environment, formerly known as Winrock International India, a prominent NGO and research organization. From 2005 to 2017, she served as a Senior Program Associate, managing program support activities such as data management, event management, office management, travel and logistics, reports, and documentation. She was recognized for her work in initiating and implementing the 'green office' concept and received an Excellent Performer award in 2008 for her contributions.

Meenakshi is a humanities graduate from Delhi University and holds a diploma in Fashion Design. She is also an artist, creating artwork using various Indian traditional art forms and mediums. For the past seven years, she has been practicing meditative mandala art and enjoys sharing her knowledge and different art techniques with others. Additionally, she loves reading Hindu mythology books and Sanskrit shlokas to understand their meanings.
