Masfick Hazarika is the Program Manager at Energy Program in WRI India. He is based in Assam where he leads engagement and policy level discussions with various stakeholders in north-east India on issues of clean energy and sustainable development.

Masfick comes to WRI India with an extensive experience in disaster risk reduction, livelihood, financial inclusion and health. He has worked with international research institutes like Population Council, International Centre for Integrated Mounted Development (ICIMOD), and Microsave Consulting. He has also worked for the Government of India’s flagship program on Transformation of Aspirational District Program (TADP).

Masfick holds a graduate degree in Physics and a master’s in Business Economics from University of Gauhati.

In his free time, Masfick likes playing badminton and cooking.
