Leona Nunes
Program Research Analyst - Sustainable Cities and Transport
Leona has joined as a Program Research Analyst in Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. She works closely with Madhav, assisting him with research work and coordinating other activities.
Prior to her current role at WRI, she had been working as a Research Intern with the Urban Innovation team at WRI, creating databases and undertaking analysis for the emerging new mobility market in sub-Saharan Africa under the Shell grant. Additionally, she has also helped to coordinate the survey design for a ride hailing survey across countries in the Global South. Understanding the movement and mobility of people in cities has been among her key research interests.
She has is recent MSc graduate in Transport & City Planning from the Bartlett, UCL and has completed her Bachelors in Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad.
Being passionate about cities, she loves exploring markets, food joints and book stores. During spare time, she dedicates her time to playing the guitar and harmonica.
