Divya Sharma serves as a Program Manager within the Food, Land, and Water Program at WRI India. Her core responsibilities involve managing the Land Accelerator and the Harit Bharat Fund, with a specific focus on for-profit/hybrid enterprises. Through these initiatives, Divya actively contributes to advancing the protection, maintenance, and restoration of India’s forests, agricultural landscapes, and rural livelihoods.

With nearly 15 years of hands-on experience in Asian contexts, Divya is a high-energy, creative, and strategic thinker. Her diverse career spans leadership roles across global brands in industries such as FMCG), healthcare, appliances, automotive, retail, apparel, and media. Throughout her career, Divya has effectively collaborated with stakeholders ranging from grassroots communities to boardroom executives. Her contributions include leading field research in 12+ Indian states and Union Territories and presenting insights to top conglomerates.

Divya holds a design degree and a PGDM from MICA (Ahmedabad, Gujarat), where she was awarded the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. More recently, she earned the professional and academic MITx MicroMasters® credential in Data, Economics, and Development Policy (Verified track) by MIT’s Department of Economics and J-PAL, with a top score. Her areas of interest and specializations include Strategic Planning and Management, First Principles, Design and Systems Thinking, Human Insights, Impact - Economic, Social and Environmental, and Sustainable Business.
