Divya Holani
Program Associate - Transport
Divya Holani is a Program Associate - Transport with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. She is currently working on Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety work in Delhi and various other urban transport projects. Her main interests are in transport planning, modelling and simulation, advanced data analytics, GIS, and creating infographics.
She has previously worked with IPE Global as an Analyst (2017-18) in the State Level Project Management Consultancy for Smart Cities of Madhya Pradesh. She was involved in providing technical assistance to the state government for the seven smart cities of the state.
Divya is an urban and transport planner by profession and motivated towards creating better and sustainable cities. She did her Master’s in Planning with a specialization in Transport Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Her master’s thesis was on “Influence of Built Environment & Accessibility on Residential Location Choices in Urban Areas”. She completed her Bachelor’s in Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal and did her thesis on “Towards Complete Streets; Streets as a ‘Link’ and as a ‘Place’”. She is registered as an Associate Town Planner at the Institute of Town Planners, India.
During her free time, Divya enjoys painting, DIY crafts, photography, and indulging in literary fiction. She is fond of exploring new places, food, and adventure.
