Chandana Sasidharan is a Program Research Fellow in WRI India’s Energy Program, working on energy transition and decarbonization projects. She focuses on the synergies of clean energy and efficiency interventions in the buildings, power, and transport sectors. She works to facilitate holistic policy for renewable energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicle adoption, and green hydrogen adoption in states.

Chandana has more than a decade of experience working with government and industry on clean and efficient technologies. She has published work across the buildings, transport, and power sectors. Her career began in the petrochemical industry, and she has since transitioned to become a professional in sustainable energy.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management. She is active as a climate ambassador and a gender and equity champion. She loves to mentor cleantech start-ups and researchers. She is an autodidact who spends her time reading, writing, and painting.
