Anushree Patil is a Program Associate - Transport with the Sustainable Cities and Transport team at WRI India. She is working on projects around young children-oriented development in Indian cities in collaboration with multiple agencies.

Prior to joining WRI India, Anushree worked as an urban design consultant on Visakhapatnam Smart City projects, where she designed a network of smart streets, junctions and parking schemes. She has also worked on several architecture and master planning projects. With her experience of engaging with local communities she plans to promote user-centric development by building capacity within government agencies.

Anushree holds a master’s degree in Urban Design from CEPT University and bachelor’s in Architecture from Sir JJCOA, Mumbai. She has been awarded Council of Architecture’s National Award for Excellence for her master’s thesis on “Inclusive Waterfronts with Eco-Urbanism”.

In her free time, she likes to travel around soaking in nature and enjoys local cuisines.
