Amitosh Gautam is the Senior Manager (MSME) in the Climate Program at WRI India, where he focuses on work related to decarbonization and just transition in MSMEs.

Amitosh comes to WRI with years of experience in energy conservation in industries and an energy policy background. Previously, he held the position of Deputy Director at the National Productivity Council, an organization under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. His work has been published in the Journal of Cleaner Production.

Amitosh holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a Master's in Public Policy and Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. In 2008, he was selected as an officer trainee and completed a one-year postgraduate program in Energy Management. He also undertook trainings at the International Energy Agency in Paris and the Malaysia Productivity Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

Amitosh currently resides in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, with his family. He was a state-level table tennis player and enjoys hobbies such as trekking and motorcycling.
