Aditya Khare is a Program Associate with the GeoAnalytics team at WRI India. Here, he provides support to various projects in the capacity of a GIS data analyst, specialising in Python coding.

Prior to joining WRI India as an associate, Aditya worked as an intern with WRI India’s Sustainable Cities and Transport program. In this capacity, he assisted the program’s Mumbai team in identifying schools in Mumbai which were at high risk of road fatalities, as well as the Bengaluru team with understanding the interplay of metro and bus services in Bangalore.

Aditya holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Mississippi and a master’s degree (with thesis) in geophysics/seismology from Colorado State University. He worked as a graduate teaching and research assistant for two years during his master’s program.

In his free time Aditya enjoys trekking, landscape photography, playing the violin, video games, badminton, and volleyball. He is also an intermediate-level snowboarder.
